Gorgeous wrap, maxi dress. Seriously one of my favorites from the entire collection.
The fabric is said to be most likely about 75-85 percent silk. Silk thread is often mixed with another type of fabric to add durability.
It is a lighter weight, soft material, and possibly from a vintage saree. Because of this, it does have some areas where the fabric has loosened - as seen in last photo. However this is not seen when wearing.. only when it’s examined closely or held up to the light.
For reference, the model is 5’3” and about 110lbs. This dress fits the model well, but I think it would be perfect on someone slightly heavier and with a bit more curves.
Measurements are Approximate:
Shoulder to hem: 55”
Pit to hem: 44”
Width across when laying flat and not tied: 22”
Ribbon to hem: 38”
Since this is a wrap the below measurements are difficult to measure since it depends on how tightly the dress is wrapped, however here is a rough estimate:
Shoulder to Shoulder: 15”
Armpit to Armpit: 20”
These dresses should be professionally cleaned only, which is the case with many silk items. It is also very important to note that if these garments are washed with other fabrics the dye will transfer and ruin the other items.
Please keep in mind that because of the nature of these garments being up-cycled from various new and vintage fabrics, these garments are delicate and imperfections are inevitable.
However we strive to photograph the details, colors and imperfections accurately.
